Update: Cervical Photo Diary

February 24, 2009
tags: ,

Last December, I linked to a cervical photo diary online that does an awesome job of illustrating how cervical mucus changes over a cycle. There were some traffic/hosting problems there, but the site seems to have settled in a new home at http://www.beautifulcervix.com/ – click “Photos of my cycling cervix” in the right sidebar for photos.

The creator is currently looking for women who might be willing to similarly document their cycles for a larger project.

    This site is amazing!

I used cervical mucous changes when I conceived my last child (now 20) and after that to help in the desire not to conceive again. (1 c/s, 2 vbac)

I’m now 51, no menses in 9 months(!), other than that I haven’t noticed much difference from month to month, in how I feel or how my female parts behave.

If you are looking for “older” participants let me know at your convenience.

The Beautiful Cervix site is truly awesome, and it so wonderful to see women so interested in what our cervices look like. I have been with Women’s Health Specialists, a Feminist Women’s Health Center for many years. We have conducted our own menstrual studies and taken hundreds of cervical pictures. We have published much of this material on our website, http://www.cawhs.org. You can go there and click on self help, and find more information on the self-help movement, cervical pictures, menstrual extraction, and redefinition of the clitoris. Jude
