Planned Parenthood Now Taking Appointments Online
I recently learned that my local Planned Parenthood (PP of Middle and East Tennessee) is now taking appointment requests online. This seems like a great service, especially for those who, like me, work in glorified cube farms and may not want to advertise to everyone the need for birth control, a pap, or other health needs. You have to register with the site to use the service, and the HEALTHKEY system is used to protect your privacy; required personal information includes your name, address, phone number, email address, and date of birth. Note that many services, such as pregnancy tests and emergency contraception, continue to be available on a walk-in basis.
Not every Planned Parenthood location nationwide offers this option. To find out if yours does, you can find a center using the PP homepage, and go to the page for your local center to find out if online booking is available.
