The FDA’s New Report on Silicone Breast Implant Safety

Did you know that women who get silicone breast implants should “assume that you will need additional surgeries,” and should get follow-up MRIs every couple of years? Over at Our Bodies Our Blog, I have summary of this and other information from the FDA’s new report on the safety of silicone breast implants, along with links to the agency’s additional resources on the topic, such as things to consider before getting implants, questions to ask your surgeon if you’re thinking of getting them, and more information on complications and adverse outcomes.

    Hey Rachel, I read the Our Bodies Our Blog summary, but I think that they put the side effects because many people perform the operation without realizing it is not a one time fix and it can go wrong.
