OBOS Post: History of Menstrual Activism
February 10, 2009
Yesterday at Our Bodies Our Blog, I discussed an article from Health Care for Women International on the history of menstrual activism, including how menstruation was addressed over the years in various editions of Our Bodies, Ourselves.
This was a particularly neat topic for me to read about, because a one-credit student-led course, “Menstrual Health and Politics” during my undergrad was where I first encountered many of these topics – and it was instrumental in developing my interest in women’s health. We also read quite a bit from OBOS for that course, too.
