A Bit of Advice for Pharmacists for Life International

Posted by Rachel on June 17, 2008

We know, Pharmacists for Life International, because you think women shouldn’t be able to access legal contraceptive drugs, that you don’t really care that much about the medical rights and needs of grown women. But when you refer to the grown women who disagree with you as “girls” and “feminazis,” you only illustrate that point further. Sort of contrary to your stated purpose of “promoting respect for the sanctity of all human life from the moment of fertilization to natural death.”

Also? When one of your pages has several links to “Barry Hussein’s this” and “Barry Hussein’s that,” we know you’re a special kind of crazy.

Look, you want to make an argument about whether pharmacists should have to, you know, do their jobs, then make it. But the language you’re using on your website is kind of a tip off that you’re not to be taken seriously as professionals or thinkers. You’re making your own website seem like satire.

Sara, I know, they’re so worried about the women, and I’m so worried about their image! ;)

Thanks for the information on pharmacists, Rachel. You have a good point, they should really be more direct and stick to facts on their website.

We recently wrote an article on pharmacists at Brain Blogger. Pharmacists are self proclaimed “drug experts” and for good reason — they have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree that took fours years to earn and in the process studied a lot of different drugs. But should that give them the right to give out a prescription? Could they accurately identify and treat a disease?

We would like to read your comments on our article. Thank you.

    Sincerely,
    Kelly
