Pretty Bird Woman House Needs Your Help

Recently, I compiled a list of organizations that could use your donation dollars, and included among them Pretty Bird Woman House, a shelter on the Standing Rock Reservation for women who have been abused. A bloggy day of support is happening today to solicit donations for the shelter, so I wanted to toss in my post.
The shelter has had to seek a new facility after vandals made the previous one unsafe, and is soliciting donations for a permanent, safe home. Right this moment, they’re 67% of the way to the $70,000 they need to make that happen, and you can chip in online.
We’ve talked before about the very serious problem of sexual assaults that go unpunished on reservations in this county, as has Christine at OBOS (with info specifically on Standing Rock). By contributing to Pretty Bird Woman House, you have an opportunity to make a small difference toward this very large and disturbing problem.
