They’re Not Infantilizing You, They Just Don’t Think You Capable of Being Informed

Aunt B of Tiny Cat Pants has an opinion piece in response to this article in Human Events on making abortion illegal and the consequences women should face in such a scenario. The author, Ericka Anderson, is responding to Anna Quindlen’s Newsweek piece on the topic of how much jail time these women would receive and the NIRH’s campaign to keep asking this question in order to make anti-abortion folks answer that very question. The crux of the argument is whether only doctors, or also the women who seek abortions, should be legally punished and perhaps jailed if abortion were illegal. It’s an important consequence to consider when pushing for such a condition.
