Presented Without Comment – Natural Family Planning vs. “Contraceptive”
August 5, 2007
Three videos, presented in the style of the “Get a Mac” Mac vs. PC ads. My understanding is that these guys are Catholic seminary students, so naturally it is “contraception” in the dorky, useless PC role.

I have to admit the last one made me chuckle a little bit. Other than that, I don’t know what to make of these. On one hand, I practice natural family planning, but I’m in a monogamous relationship. If I were single, it wouldn’t be as feasible, and I don’t think NFP is practical for every sexual relationship out there.
I don’t like the implication that sex is somehow wrong when you just want to have sex.
I’ll comment:
I’m confused. I thought that the catholic church’s theological position was that sex is for procreation, and that this is the reason contraception is immoral.
Don’t these seem like social and medical rationalizations for the church’s historically misogynistic positions?
The catholic church is the LAST institution from which I’d take seriously advice about reproductive health.
“The catholic church is the LAST institution from which I’d take seriously advice about reproductive health.”
Or gender relations.
Amen, Caitlain.
David, I think that’s what was bothering me as well.
i don`t understand, but TY
