Latina Reproductive Health

July 30, 2007

The National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health has launched a blog, Nuestra Vida, Nuestra Voz (Our Life, Our Voice). According to an email I received,

NLIRH’s mission is to ensure the fundamental human right to reproductive health for Latinas, their families and their communities through public education, policy advocacy, and community mobilization. Our blog will focus on women’s health issues, including: access to abortion, access to contraception and family planning services, HPV and cervical cancer awareness, immigrant women’s health, and other issues.

Recent posts have addressed Medicaid coverage, health care in developing countries, former Surgeon General Carmona, Amnesty International’s stand on reproductive rights, and other topics. Read more about the Institute’s programs.
