Free HIV Tests on Wednesday

June 22, 2007

Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee is offering free HIV tests in Nashville next Wednesday, June 27th, in recognition of National HIV Testing Day; scroll down to find free testing info for other cities. From the email alert:

June 27th Is National HIV Testing Day

In the United States, half of all new HIV infections occur in people under age 25; one-fourth in people under the age of 21.*

The goal of National HIV Testing Day is to encourage you to know your HIV status by participating in an anonymous or confidential HIV testing program.

HIV counseling and testing helps people with HIV to take steps to protect their own health and that of their partners, and helps people who test negative get the information they need to stay uninfected.

To help serve the health needs of our community, Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee will be offering FREE, that’s right, FREE HIV Tests at its Health Center in Nashville, TN on Wednesday, June 27th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm!

The Health Center is located at 412 D.B. Todd Blvd (where Charlotte Ave. meets 18th Ave.). No appointment necessary! For questions, call 615.321.7216.

    Dear Rachel
Greetings from London and very pleased to find your very informative blog,I will definitely be bookmarking this. I have been interviewing lots of British people about how they lose their virginity and blogging about my adventures/experiences at http://www.virginityproject.typepad.com. I get quite a few emails requesting the sort of information available here so will point them in your direction! Best from Kate M

Thanks, Kate, I appreciate the referrals! Also, I’m having a good time exploring your blog – the points about technical virginity and “multiple” virginities are well-taken.
