Breastfeeding Flickr Pools

Ms. Katie (at her spiffy new place) made me think of this with her post, “this is public breastfeeding,” so without further ado, some flickr pools of breastfeeding photos I found. I assure you you’ll see more boob in many a movie or advertisement, or, as Katie puts it,

She’s not bothering anyone. No breasts are exposed. You might get a little flash of skin if you are watching veeeeery closely, but you are seeing far less boob than you would than if you were looking at the latest promo poster for a new Halle Berry movie or Victoria’s Secret catalog.

 

The fact is, when people talk about women being “indiscreet” when nursing in public, they may cloak their objections in worries about modesty, but in fact, they are clearly bothered by the very act of breastfeeding itself. They always start with, “Now I am a big supporter of breastfeeding, but…” which sounds suspiciously like, “I’m a feminist, but….” or “Some of my best friends are black, but….”
